Hrm... I don't have a problem making the quills stack better... probably 50... will try and remember to look into that. Ther rest are likely to stay at 20 though.

Please consider making inks stack deeper. I don't know about others, but I know I need inks and lots of it. I'm never sure which quilll I will need until I actually want to make a spell, so I stockpile three bags of inks and make quills on the fly.

If the inks stacked better, even to 30 or 40, I would probably cry.
Those are the only things that I wish would stack better. As it is now, I don't even keep a supply of inks anymore; I just make it as needed. Even with all the bank space I have, I continue to scrounge for room.

Is there a pack rats anonymous, by chance?

My vote is for inks as well.

I keep one full stack of every ink, quill and additive on me (except for Additive of the Nameless, Ink of Tunare and Ink of Pain which I keep 2 stacks each).

Post-TSS, I am always running out of Inks first because many of the recipes take two of one Ink (e.g. Tunare x 2).

Ink of Tunare, Pain, and Prexus are the only inks I make by the stack and keep in stock. I make all the other ones as needed.
I make 1 stack of each classess quills and use them as needed. So really, if the stack is 20 or 40 on the quills it wouldn't really matter to me. I make a batch of 20 and use them until I run out, then make 20 more. I never make 20+ of one class spells in a sitting.

1) Vial of Pure Water
2) A quill
3) Ink Additives
4) quill treatments

I have no interest in storing all the components i need to make a spell. I keep the stacks of paper on me (cause they are drops) and the thickeners cause the supplies are on different merchants.


Inks, additives, water, I can make off 1 merchant in about 10 seconds ... the only inconvience is that i have to port to Crescent reach to do it. However, even that doesnt complare to the inconvience that storing all that extra stuff would be.

You might want to move to Crescent Reach... all the research supplies you could possibly use in 1 zone. Gems for solutions, Alchemy stuffs for thickeners, and the standard spell vendor.

I'd like to change my stance on the whole Quill / addivite / ink stacking issue.... :P

I recently set up a research bot that I keep bound in the baz and use to store / make all my subcombines; and I LOVE IT!! With 8 10 slot bags hes has room for everything but the Stationary which i keep cleaned on my Main.

Its makes things so much easier and putting out orders much faster (only make spells on request) . So with this, I am noticing that Additives, inks and Quills do run out quite fast.

Man I wish you were on Fennin Ro I am going out of my mind on Spell research...muahaha. Or better yet I wish I could have the play time to get up there to your status on my server then I could make spells for not only my other 7 alts < or is this one an alt of the other 7...hmmm> but others in my household and my guild we got 8 accounts here in this house and thats a lotta toons to feed...lol.

I've considered CR, but I still have pretty bad lag there. While I can usually get to the second floor with no trouble, occasionally it takes 2 or 3 attempts to keep from falling through the elevator.

I basically have Eanelder's system going. I have a character on my second account with two bags full of thickeners and parchment/hide storage.

When I start researching, I head to Corathus, and Scribe Qenane gates there (she's bound there, I'm not). She hands me thickeners as needed, and I make everything else on demand. I offload spells to her, and she offloads them to the shared bank and from there to the Trader. When I need gems/alchemy stuff for thickeners, Qenane just gates to Knowledge to pick them up (she's a wizard).
