An Issue with the Research Skill

I could see someone stockpiling every parchment they ever got in a DoD group planning to get around to it sometime. After all I have a mule with about 10 bags full of LoY research parts that I still haven't gotten around to using.

To me, 400 spells at a one time is certainly within reason. I am in a relatively small family guild and get 80-100 parchments per month from my hunting and from donations from my guildmates.

Well yeah, if you have the entire guild handing them to you for free over the last few months, I could see that. Especially if that person was like me and skilled up to 243 and bought Mastery-3 AAs before starting to do spell combines.

I had to pay for most of mine, so I've never had more than 100 parchments in backstock. I made about 20 spells last night, and probably 40-50 per week, while constantly checking bazaar for decent priced parchments to buy. Suddenly having 400 spells would be 8 weeks worth of gathering for me, and at least a million plat in costs.

I think we just got our "unbalancing" arguement with the advent of the new trophies. 200 and 250 makes a big difference with the mod available.

This should be the best arguement available atm for asking for a hasty look at the 254 code bug.

Confirmed in game

I have just confirmed this bug by logging on my lvl 16 necro that I have not
touched for 3 years. Yep. 254 research skill. In game.

I can't imagine the worst blow to a tradeskill. Even worse than the rampant plat duping thats still going on in full swing.

Update

Any new word on this issue by chance? I don't mind competing with those that worked hard to get their skill but the influx of spells made by this bug/exploit seems to get larger all the time.
