Eons ago when the game was young, I was lead into the great halls of the library in Erud and taught how to research the great teachings of those that had come before.
The Book of Ancient Restoration was one of the two container tomes that all young enchanters where taught to use.
Specifically the Book of Ancient Restoration was used for the restoration of pages that where so old that they had 'faded', one placed a faded page (or half page) in the tome and with it, one could reveal the lost lore.
As times past, the evil one, known only as "Absor" came and corrupted all that he touched, including the way enchanters learned from the great masters. Since the time of the corruption, the Book of Ancient Restoration has lost all value and faded pages can now be restorted in either of the two enchanter tomes.

Well, I would have if I thought it was that old, dude. I never leveled my chanter past 12, c'mon, I never had a use for it, never looked. I thought it was something new cause I never saw it. ^_^Comment
