  • What DoDh spells are good sellers?

I managed to get 2 runic parchments exping in Ruins of Illisian last night. What spells have been good sellers? HoV?

Just a guess, but I suspect that a GoD spell would be easier to sell than a comparable PoP one. Daluda's Mending and Wave of Trushar don't have upgrades until you get the 69/70 (nodrop) runes. I'm sure there are others.

Right now it looks like all the 65 spells we (guild) will try to make will be GoD, as our PoP spells are pretty much full already.

      Selling Spells.

Rare spells are good for lots of shiny coins in your purse and will often go fast.

The Best selling spells will be the the Lv 65 GoD spells. Holy Elixir , Holy Light for example.

Some of the not so obvious rare spells would be the LDoN merchant spells. The best part about those spells that we can make range from 61 to 65. That gives us normal folks with low 200 skills a chance to cash in . I will include a few that I plan on researching that I think will sell good if not overpriced. Price is the key here because some of the LDoN spells are not worth 10k to 50k+ that most people love to price the things they make. If you pay 10k for parchment to make Bulwark of Vie and hope to sell it for 20k you will be very disappointed unless there are lots of very rich and clueless clerics on your server. However if you spend 10k for parchment to make Holy Elixir or Holy Light (Rare GoD 65 cleric spells). 20k to 50k+ would be reasonable price depending upon the market value on your server. I take a lot of heat from those more greedy spell vendors on my server for underpricing and they may be correct. However; they cannot ignore the fact that I sell lots of spells that they sit on for months. Last time I checked the goal was to put coin in your pocket not hit the lottery by that one big sale. Ok enough said on to my list.

lv 62 Bulwark of Vie (cleric) , lv 63 Horror (nec) , lv 63 Bulwark of Alendar (enc) , lv 63 Color Cloud (enc) , lv 63 Mana Ward (wiz) , lv 64 Ice Meteor (wiz) , lv 64 Bane (shm) , lv 64 Protection of Calliav ect....

One last point be sure and ask in the approiate class chat on your server if they have any thoughts on the LDoN spell you are about to create. That is your best bet on making a good seller.

      Good Luck

Minor problem with making LDoN spells. You can't. Puts a kink in the works.

Don't make GoD spells that have 66,67, or 68 OoW upgrades... no profit in them.

Stick to 65 GoD spells that have only a 69 OoW, 70 OoW (better), or NO upgrade at all (big bucks) to make decent money.

Be warned - If you don't have research aa's/salvage make sure you get your research pretty high before attempting those 2 runics. At 206 with no aa's, my researcher failed all 10 attempts on sylvan embers for my druid.

I'll make one suggestion, Elemental Siphon. It's a magician GoD spell that we don't get an upgrade until our very last level 70 rune. I'm still using it.

Shaman spells to make with Runic Parchments

Breath of Trushar is probably the best shaman GoD spell to make with the new research. It offers 50% more healing per tick than Quiescence and it does not get upgraded until the 2nd level 70.

Balance of the Nihil is another good choice. It is a short duration, fast-casting slow with a nice resist adjustment. It is not upgraded until the 2nd level 69 rune and that upgrade is only a slightly greater resist adjustment.

I will be making Daluda's Mending for my shaman that just dinged 65, but would not use a Runic Parchment to make it for resale. It is only a 19% upgrade over the level 62 Tnarg's Mending and it is replaced by Yoppa's Mending from the 5th level 68 rune.

Based on checking which GoD spells are for sale in the Drinal bazaar and on reviewing spell lists for each class at Allakhazam's, the following spells seem to be good choices for using Runic Parchments.

Night Fire is fire based DoT that is reportedly still used by level 70 Necromancers.

Wave of Trushar is a Paladin group heal that doesn't get upgraded until a level 70 spell that is only 15% better.

Elemental Siphon gives Magicians a nice mana regen boost and doesn't get upgraded until their next to last Glowing Rune turn-in.

Plus the Breath of Trushar and Balance of the Nihil as stated in my previous post.

The new level 65 Enchanter slow Dreary Deeds would be a good choice, but it doesn't seem to have a recipe implemented yet. It replaced a GoD turn-in spell that was only level 57.

Dark Echo is a spell reflection Bard song that gets no upgrade, but I am told the long recast and limited effectiveness against AEs mean it is rarely memorized.

NIght Fire stacks with both Funeral Pyre and Pyrocuror, which is why Funeral Pyre sells for a lot also. For my necro, they are two of my favorite spells, 335/310 dmg per tick respectively. I am glad I made Night Fire for him first.

Wave of Trushar I still have troubles not saying that it's better than Wave of Piety. I recently picked up WoP and have been using it... the major problem I have is it upgrades a spell that really didn't need upgrading. With Wave of Trushar I was already max healing... Piety is overkill and burns more mana. WoTrushar is a good money maker also in my experience.

Yes, the spell Night Fire for necromancers is one I use quite a bit, even having both the DoD and OoW fire line spells, many mobs are quite vulnerable to fire line dots. Night fire tends to be a GoD seller.

Breath of Trushar has been my best seller, followed my Mental Horror. I have had a devil of a time selling any int caster spells at all... I guess everyone's an optimist... for now anyway.
