  • Are the "pop-era" fears researchable?

Classes with fear spells received new new lines of spells in the past few months. They were retroactively added to certain eras (eg 60-65 was added to pop parchment turn-ins, and I know some below 60 were added to luclin as drops, and the ones above 65 were added to OoW rune turn-ins).

Has anyone tried to research the PoP era fears?

I'm going to ask someone to try it anyhow, and I'll post, but if someone else has done it, it would be nice to know =) Thanks.

It's been reported that the level 61 fears are researchable, but none of the others are. As far as I know, no dev has said this is bug or not.

Gotcha, yeah I see the spell in the db, but no recipie for it =/

Ahh I do see the cleric 61, at least I can confirm the recipe against that.

Yeah tried it, lvl 62 spell, DNC with the exact same recipe as the 61 fears that are combinable, but with the sk quill, of course.

Exact same recipe? Try the level 62 parchement then. Maybe that's the problem.

Sorry yes, we tried with the 62 parchment, the "fine parchment." What was tried:

            1. Fine Parchment
            2. Quill of the Dreadlord
            3. Ink of Cazic Thule
            4. Luclin's Ink Additive
            5. Debilitating Thickener

            gives the big DNC

            Shadow Bellow

            1. Fear
            - MR check
            lvl 62, sk only

To compare, Here is the recipie for Death's Despare, the lvl 61 cleric undead fear (sorta copied and pasted from this site):

            1. parchment
            2. quill of the archon
            3. ink of cazic thule
            4. luclin's ink additive
            5. debilitating thickener

Are still DNC post patch. Has anyone else made a level 62 fear spell for any other class?

Thank you for your time =), and I will play with it.

One thing to note, the lvl 61 cleric and druid fears both use debilitating thickener, so if this uses a different thickener, there may be a problem with fear spell recipes' congruency.

Just made Unholy Bellow using the Eneverating Thickener (ae debuff). So the other 62 fears probably use this one too.

Enervating worked. If only it was AE, muahahahah.

Hehe, do not fear (har har), I'm not a parchment buyer. The combine was done by a friend of mine. I'm only interested in the smithing and tailoring markets atm (with some pottery on the side =).

PS: There are 16 for sale for 1k and under (down to 150pp). If you want me to pick up one for you, PM me.

Thanks, went home for lunch so picking up some parchments as I write this. Any possibility of a discount on bulk purchasing of your DE GM gear for my baby cleric? Will send you tell in game.

I attempted the cleric level 63 fear for someone and it wont work either.

                              Vellum Parchment
                              Quill of the Archon
                              Luclin's Ink Additive
                              Ink of Cazic Thule
                              Debilitating Thickener

That should be the recepie but it is not.

                              I tried:
                              Enervating Thickener
                              Arcane Thickener
                              Extending Thickener
                              Al'Kabor Thickener
                              Expatiating Thickener

Either that ones not in or its some strange thickener that it shouldnt be using. Any ideas or input from the dev?
I'm going to hit you until candy comes out!

I still think the research trophy should be called "Philiak's Phantasmal Quill"
