Cyrstallized Sulfur - Interim fix possible?

Any chance a substitute sub-recipe can be added until SOE figures out what they broke with Crystallized Sulfur drops?

The obvious fix would be to take Phosphorus Sulfur (x2) plus Water = Crystallized Sulfur. This still requires players to farm something, but at least this is a reasonable solution.

Just FYI, we totally depopulated FM for 4 hours the other night, did not get one single drop.

Have seen 1-3 at a time for sale in the bazaar for 2,500 to 10,000 pp. So something is obviously not working as intended. How about a little help? Spending a month gathering Parchments to just have them sitting in the bank due to almost no availability of a sub-component is rather irritating.


Or if it was SOE's intent to make Sulfur the rare drop, can you at least let us know?

He had previously said, stated here, next patch there's going to be a 10x increase in drop rate on the Crystallized Sulfur.

I think you missed the point.

Last time I checked 10 times 0 is..0.

Lots of mobs are dying with no loot whatsoever on them..no coin, nada, nothing.

Someone messed up a data table or call function somewhere.

When I said we cleared FM for 4 hours, I meant ALL of it..every single mob, not just the ones that are supposed to drop the Sulfur.

So, while SOE spends some time working on the problem, why not put an alternative solution in place?

Not sure if you were around for it, but anyone else remember how badly Alchemy was messed up for what? 2+ years, due to messed up drop tables.

I have managed to accumulate about 160-180 Parchments in the same time I have farmed / begged the guild for / had a buyer in the bazaar 24/7 for and have only been able to accumulte about 30 to 40 Sulfurs.

Less than two months ago, several zones would net you 1-2 stacks per evening if you were killing at a respectable pace. Now you can barely get 1 single drop there at all. Increasing the drop rate of something that is referring to a broken table or link wont do much at all.

I sincerely hope I am wrong, but I would be much happier if they would mess around with the problem on their own time, and put in a reasonable fix for us to use in the mean while.

Because an interim solution would still require patching and if they are to patch why not just put the 10x increase in instead. The drop rate is not stellar, but it's hardly impossible to get. Pharm the hole and you can come out with a stack in a few hours. Not to mention you can get 4% a kill soloing easy mobs. There's a patch in about a week so it won't be long.

Crystalised sulphur still drops - I was fortunate enough to get 3 in first 5 kills in ssra zone in a little while ago. And I still see quite a few on vendors, which I buy up ;-) I can get a stack a week without trying very hard.
