  • best vendors to farm post patch?

Where are the best vendors to farm for words, pages and runes for level 55 and up spells, especially after a patch or reset? I know POT and POK (and the bazaar) are obvious choices, but I am curious if others would like to share their opinions of other places that are good sources.

My research is 200 and I just can't afford the prices people are charging in the bazaar for components -- often more than the prices of the spells being sold.

    Thanks in advance.

It's been my experience that you don't need to concentrate on post patch for research components. I find them frequently on all vendors. But if you want to concentrate on the most likely, after the PoT/PoK vendors fill up, I'd hit the vendors in EC tunnel regularly. You're never gonna find a zephyr, but should find plenty of other 55+ stuff.

Post Patch is nice for vendor diving because merchants usually aren't cluttered up with junk yet.

The merchants in & around the Wayfarer camps & dungeons are usually a good bet. (ex: any Magus, dwarf merchants near the BB camp, merchants in EC tunnel, Gypsies in Oasis...)

PoK merchants in the western trader building are convenient to people porting into PoK after adventures to sell & split, as well.

      Good Luck!

        A little trick

A little trick I like to use on the gnome smithing vendor in Bazaar is to do the quest to refill his stock when he is full of junk items, this resets his inventory and later you can see what others have sold to him again. Just say "I will assist" to him, he gives you a 4 slot container, get 4 small bricks of unrefined ore and combine, give to him and wala, he respawns with no inventory (Cept his ore which is restocked as well)
