Web site to help manage spell research

Greetings,

I have developed a web site that uses Magelo Update's XML character report to help spell researchers deal with their inventory. While the site still has much left to do, it is still quite helpful in its current state. At the moment, the site only works with Internet Explorer.

Since much of the spell research data was entered manually, please post on that site's forum if you see any errors. Also, the site is not on a dedicated machine, so it may be sluggish at times.

Pretty cool. I tested it out by logging on with my trader mule just 4 minutes before the Xev server went down. I created the xml file and uploaded it, and it told me that I had the components for a cleric spell I don't have yet! Now I have to wait until the server comes back up to get those pieces off of him.

This site is very useful. But, the only way to use the functions of the site, (or see it in use) is to upload an xml file using the upload feature.

As he described on the How To page, the green checkmarks to the left of the spell name are spells that you have all the components for, and the red checkmark means you have some, but not all of the components needed to make the spell.

Great work! I used it this morning and found out I had components for several needed spells.

One suggestion would be to add a print or save to file function to the website.

it's a pity also, because it was a very useful site, especially for those of us who run multiple characters.

I was switching host providers in what should have been a seamless migration, but my domain name registrar managed to completely hose my DNS record. That's resolved now, and I should have the web site up again by late this evening.

I just love this tool, but when i tried to use it today, it doesnt seem to work anymore - the links to the pictures are down too.

It appears his website has been hacked or something. I have been unable to reach him by cell phone or email so I'm not sure what is up. I hope everything is cool.

Until his site is up and running again, feel free to use my utility program (see sig). It'll go through the inventory files (created via /outputfile inventory command). For research stuff, it'll list which spells you have all components for and which spells you have some components for. It'll also list which spells are needed by all your characters (whether you have any parts or not). Not to mention all the other stuff it keeps track of as well.
