Barb shaman newbie quests?

In the notes they released for today, they added some more newbie quests for erudites, trolls and ogres, saying that this completes the updated newbie quests.

Did I miss something? Are there newbie quests for barb shaman now?

I saw a post from someone on test that said there were quests in for Barb warrior and rogue at least, although I don't know if these are live, or going live soon.

Well i went to check it out, and just as I had suspected, nothing had changed. Going to check out the test server now, see if there's anything there.

I logged on last night and got the full quest text and started collecting. The quests seem pretty straightforward, and the list of mobs to get drops from is nice and short.

Every piece takes 1-4 small pieces of ore, purchased from Greta O'Reilly, who took me forEVer to find, she's hiding behind one of the buildings of the main town square.

The most common drops needed are polar bear skins/pelts (I'll check the official name, they seemed even rarer than usual) and various numbers of bone chips. Overall you need 8 polar bear skins/pelts, after an hour and a half of hunting green bears and bear cubs with my ranger (after a luckless hour hunting them with my 46 shaman) I only had 3 skins. (But two HQ bear skins, yay.)

There is also a new camp of 'gigantic wooly spiders' which are stationery and drop silks, ichor, and the 'spider venom sac' which is needed for one of the armor pieces.

The armor stats seem to have good ac for newbie stuff, a couple of points of stamina, and a handful of hitpoints.
