Gorzicor final combine

I have been looking around for info of what Smithing skill is needed for the Gorzicor final combine.

Found this on Alakazam:

Cant find anything about it here in Eqtraders. Could someone plz come with some information.

If you haven't already made this, could you please run magelo so that each piece gets written to the magelo database. There are a couple of pieces for this quest missing, one being the Clay Covered Raw Naginata Blade.

For any of you folks working on this quest, if you could drop a list here of the various intermediate combines (stats). I have the basic item names and recipes entered in the database, but would appreciate a confirmation on the names and attributes.

Yes, please let us know. I spent the better part of the day correcting item names for this quest. I just have a couple of questions now about it because the ingredients and results of combines are totally whacked in the quest writeup.


What does the Remaining Bone Dust and Portion of Starmetal really combine to make???? I think it's Blade Skin-1st Fold even though the writeup says Folded Blade Skin (there is no such item).

Here is a cleaner walk thru:

Starmetal Ore + Forging Hammer + Smithing Chisel = 2 Portion of Starmetal

Portion of Starmetal + Sanctified Bone Dust (from Eldriaks) = Dusty Starmetal Block + Remaining Bone Dust

Repeat 5 times: Forging Hammer + Smithing Chisel + Dusted Starmetal Block

Forging Hammer + Blade Core-5th Fold = Shaped Blade Core

Remaining Bone Dust + Portion of Starmetal = ??????????
(I think it's: Remaining Bone Dust + Portion of Starmetal = Blade Skin-1st Fold. It could also be another Dusted Starmetal Block)

Repeat 10 times: Blade Skin-1st Fold + Forging Hammer + Smithing Chisel = Blade Skin-10th Fold

Blade Skin-10th Fold + Shaped Blade Core + Forging Hammer + Smithing Chisel = Complete Raw Blade

Complete Raw Blade + Forging Hammer = Complete Shaped Blade

1 Small Block of Clay + 1 Water Flask = Clay/Water Mixture

Clay/Water Mixture + Complete Shaped Blade (COMBINED AT POTTERY WHEEL) = Clay Coated Blade

Now head back to the Forge.

Clay Coated Blade + Gray Colored Ice (from Frontier Mountains) (COMBINED IN THE FORGE) = Finished Naginata Blade

Remaining Bone Dust + Portion of Starmetal = Dusted Starmetal Block

It's lore but you can have it and the identicallly named item from the first bone dust + portion of starmetal combine, then when you fold it they become unique.

I've got both blocks, all 5 folds of the blade core, and the first fold of the skin in the Lucy database, I would have more but I failed on the second fold of the skin. feh.

Edit: oh yeah all of the combines were trivial at 173.

I will be finishing the Garzicor quest tonight, and was also hoping to find a trivial on the final portion before I click the combine button one last time while holding my breath. Here is the trivials I came across as best I could tell.

Chromium Plate trivials at less than 122 Smithing

ALL combines during the folding of the blade trivial at less than 188 smithing however;

the final combine of the 10th fold blade skin and the core was not trivial to me at 188.

I still failed on around the 14th out of the 16 combines during the folding of the blade and forming of the core, and had to redo it, but luckily I had collected 5 pieces of starmetal and overpowered with random generator with sheer attempts at the combine

Now came the fun part - I was doing all this tradeskilling on my main, but wanted the weapon on my alt - time to attempt MQ'ing the items.

The Chromium Plate (which triv'd low enough for my alt to form it) CAN be MQ'd with the Kejekan in the jail. In fact - I had a rogue SoS his way to the Mandala sketch, retrieve it, and had him MQ the Mandala sketch with my warrior who had the Plate and the Tools. Warrior recieved the Tsuba.

Then my druid, who had done all the other smithing and had the Blade, MQ'd the blade with Eldriaks while my warrior turned in the Tsuba and the Bronzewood Staff - and recieved the Naginata and blood to trigger Garzicor.

So the first two turns in CAN be MQ'd. If the final combine is successful at my warriors 122 smithing skill I will come back and post. I am praying that it is one of the quest combines which is no fail, but that is probably too much to hope for.

Oh, and just to clarify, by "all the combines" I meant the ones I'd done up to that point, which was basically splitting the starmetal, folding up the core, and, uh, the first fold of the skin.

Back to DN to watch the ghost take 15 minutes to say 14 lines!

Failed again on the 4th fold of the skin, still trivial.

I hate this. The hard part is the spamming in DN, it takes him forever to start talking and then takes about 15 minutes to finish the text and spawn the stuff. Although I might have to go get more starmetal now, previous 2 pieces I got cheap (under 50pp ea) in the bazaar.

Could you post (in this case re-post) your current Smithing Skill whenever stating a trivial. You might have gained a skill point or two in between.

3rd try was the charm, made complete shaped blade, all combines were trivial at 173 except the raw blade + hammer, which gave me a skill up to 174 :shock: ... going to do the claywater now, will update
