- 8th Shawl - Imbued Royal Velium Armour combine failure

Hey gang, quick survey/question here.

I successfully crafted my Royal Velium Armour last night with no failures /cheer! When I attempted the Imbued Combines I failed on one bracer, the helm and the BP. JC is 199 and i also had a gemsetter. (Wisdom was 314 although I'm told that doesn't effect the probability for successful combines)

I am curious if anyone else has suffured such a failure rate during their Imbued combines or did I just have a run of bad luck? =)

Luckily I had an extra faceted emerald and sapphire. Gotta farm a unrefined diamond again though =/

Ack heloisa, so sorry to hear that, I bet you were punching against the walls afterwards! :roll:

My Jewlery is at 186, and thank god, I didn't have a fail, I remember I was half holding my fist at the time, lol..

I agree, farming that diamond was hard for me as well, I had enough drop that I even grabbed a few online friends to loot them, diamon was a pain for me as well.

Hm, if youre doin 8th shawl stuff, you should be familiar with how the RNG like to stick it to you in the most uncomfortable of places with great regularity and glee, by now.

Bummer, I did mine at 200 JC + geerlok. All combines succeed. Whew, hate farming those geonids.

My only failure on the 8th shawl was crafting the leggings with armorcrafting (See my dropdown list for my current skills, they are the same as they where at the time)
I've heard of many folks doing the whole thing (All 40+ combines) without a single failure.. just a matter of getting on the RNG's good side.

Update: Just finnished combining all Imbued Velium Armour and did the turn ins with no issues re: Dain etc.

(Yes I was very sure to click combine before turning box into the Dain eheh)

Going to do the walk tomorrow night (7/08 ) ! Woot!



Only had to wait about an hour before getting another unrefined diamond.

Gawd I'm glad to never see another Genoid again!!

RNG = Random Number Generator...the thing that rolls the dice to see if you Succeed or Fail...usually blamed for a string of really good or bad luck

My stats:

soft fur padding: 8 out of 9 (149 + geerlok)
royal velium: 8 out of 8 (184 + geerlok)
faceting: 9 out of 10, failed one emerald (195, no geerlok)
I also successfully faceted all the extras: 1 diamond and 3 sapphires.
imbuing: 8 out of 9, failed on helmet once.

That would be me... 8 shawls 0 failures.... but then again I have 7 trophy failures! :shock:
