8th Shawl & Faction

I hunted in Icewell for awhile and I'm KOS to the dain. Are there any ways to raise faction OTHER then quests with the coldain to get factio? Up to my 6th shawl right now and really hoping I'm gonna be able to get my 8th shawl.

Unfortunately, the majority of Coldain quests don't give very good Dain hits at all. Your best bit is to go along for a Tormax faction hit as it seems like the only quick way to raise it. Once you're dubious to Dain, you can hand in 4 Giant Warrior Helms to one of the NPCs up there (Seneschal?) for a relatively large hit.

The above is correct. Find out which guilds are doing Kael raids and tag along as much you can.

The answer is 2 king tormax hits is anough to get you to dub from cant get worse with the dain.

You only need to be non kos to dain to do the quest I believe... The only quick way is by King Tormax hit, but you could also do the first and second shawl repeatly to get the small hits (but that's a real pita)

There are a few NPC near Tormox that also give Dain hits. Storm Giant Warlord for instance. Don't know what the hit amount is tho. I don't know how far into Scowl I was but I got one faction hit off a storm giant warlord and did the beginning of the Phenocryst Focus quest 500 times to get barely into dubious.

I believe I remember reading somewhere, if you turn in 4 helmets from kael to a Senschal(sp) in the Icewell Keep that can up your dain fraction. Anyone know the specifics?

Don't know about the helms, but here's a couple more ideas.

If you already have the sixth shawl, you can actually get dain hits by doing steps 1 - 3 repeatedly--if you kept your seal from the third shawl, that is.

Also, the Coldain ring gives +Dain faction. Depending on your level and such, you could do most of this solo--you don't need to actually talk to anyone on dain faction until the 9th ring. Doing steps 1 - 5 can be relatively easy--with proper preperation, you could easily be ready to do several run throughs with just a few hours commitment, though that time investment could easily span a few days.

I believe there is a quest using small pieces of velium. starts with the dwarf in the weapons shop across from the bank, then run to another one down in the tunnels, run back to the one up top. rinse, repeat Probably just one faction point per turn in though. I think it is the beginning of that geonid quest.

You will see that at step 2 you get + dain faction. I don't know how much. I've done that quest a half dozen times and am still dubious to the dain, with all through the 7th shawl done, etc. But it's an option.
