Successfully did the 8th shawl walk last night; I think it will be a long time before I wear any other shoulder gear. 
We had 21 people, which was more than enough -- no deaths, and even the last wave wasn't a significant problem (other than my getting myself summoned by the named...). Average level was in the upper 50's, and most people had never done the walk before, but we had two level 65 tanks (a warrior and an SK), which very much helped. First time my guild had done the walk, and I'm happy to say I got enthusiastic support.
Many thanks to those that answered all of the various questions I've posted here over the last few months, and especially to Verdandi, without whose guide I would assuredly never have gotten this far.
