  • Sacred Water

I spent some time in PoV hunting for Sacred Water. After 2 hours of killing those dudes at those tents, I haven't come across 1. Does anyone know the names of the mobs that are suppose to drop them?

I checked on the drop listings and there was no sacred water, which is why I am looking for a confirmation.

It's the Mega Man type models, they're either named(like Sargeant ....... or Lieutenant ...... or called a Valorian Sentry I think. There are 2 just to the right of the zone in near that auditorium thingy. Those are the models you have to kill.

The easiest mobs to kill for the water are the suits of amour just inside the arches on either side of the bridge up to the wastelands. You will need someone able to mez or root the 2nd one, but it doesn't involve any tricky pulls. The suit-of-armour/mega-man mobs in the tents need rather more careful pulling to get rid of the mobs around them, though I've done them with just me (enchanter) and a cleric.

A ranger or druid can pull the tent mobs, with a bit of creativity.
The mobs stay non kos. Target the mob you want, go outside, cast snare and run. Repeat if it doesnt take. Eventually you have one angry snared mob, and several angry unsnared ones. Run to the zone out and zone. The unsnared mobs walk back, the snared one stands around. Your group will be killing it while you zone back in. I would pull the two in the auditorium, then work on the 4 in the tents, and repeat.

Talked with a couple of people in guild. As far as we remember, drop rate off the two mobs in building near zone was much better than off the stuff in the tents. We always pulled all of it, as spawn times on the stuff in the building is slow, but most of the sacred water came off the two spawn by zone.

EASY way of splitting them, which a friend and I discovered after much headaches: Hail them. =) Yes, the whole camp aggros when you try to pull one of the right model dudes without much clearing, just pullem all anyway, puller zones, and have someone hail the guy ya want - they will stay there and fuss at you because they're busy.... I'm sure everyone that has fought with clearing the camps will now bonk themselves on the head and say 'why the heck didn't I think of that?' - we sure as heck felt stupid when we realized it

Also of note - when doing the 2 guards at the arena right by zone in, make sure you're killing A Valorian Guard..... the tall dudes...theres a rarer spawn, Valorian Guardsmen, which is a runt, that is a serious can of whoop ass... unslowable, is basically Vindi with only 25k or so hp, and summons, hits 700ish... ie, when that one spawns, you're going to need a solid group with either 2 healers or a whole lot of dps, or 2 groups of friends if you want to make sure its easy Not sure if that ones rootable, think he is, I know the taller ones are root/snareable, makes it easier to zone-split em if you don't want to deal with keeping root up. This camp is doable with a shaman-warrior duo, not much room for mistakes if you do it lke that though...drop rate is roughly 1 in 10 mobs, and the exp is actually pretty nice once you get the hang of the camp.... best place to pull to imo is into the arena inside the building...no roamers to deal with, no trains to the zone to worry about, nice and quiet so you can just do your own thing and not worry about the usual headaches of PoV =)

Best luck I had was with the "A Valorian Guardian." There are 2 that guard the door in that building right by the graveyard, and 2 that guard the entraces to the bridge on either side, making a total of 6 (2 on each side of the bridge, on the inside of each building.)

Drop rate was probably 1 every couple hours. A solid group with the right flags to complete the quest can handle all 6 and have time leftover to pull a couple Sergents from the tents.

                  This part is painful hehe.

Kept track when i was doing this for a second earring. Took a little over 60 kills to get 3 water. Boreing as hell doing this duo.
