Error with Raex's BP.

Hail all,
Raex's Chestplate of Destruction is now live on Magelo and looking at it there is an error between it and what we have on the quest page.

As you notice, the real BP has no "Effect: Avatar" which I agree suck big time. Also, the real BP has 220 HPs not 190 HPs, not much, but if you are a purple club member you know it helps. Just want to let you know.

That's because the Raex BP on the site currently is a result of database diving(all BPs listed would be) and the current Raex BP(from magelo) had to have been obtained somehow in game for it to be submitted to magelo, so all BPs on the website are probably incorrectly listed as a result of this.

Not sure what you mean here...? What database would the BP's have been pulled out to the first time around, other than something like Magelo? And why does that mean they'd all be wrong?

The stats were pulled out of the EQ database back many months ago. (people were pulling them out by exploiting item links to get stats on items they did not have)

No one on any server has a elemental chest piece yet, so we dotn know if any stats posted anywhere are correct, all of them could have been changed.

Caladel is corret, many of the elemental armor pieces when first linked were before any guild had even killed Rallos Zek let alone an elemental god. You USED to be able to pull any item out of the EQ item database using links(I never learned how though always wanted to) and people would complain about stuff(such as Avatar on the melee BPs) when NOONE serverwide had EVER seen an elemental breastplate mold drop let alone the resulting BP. This happens to also be the reason I think the 7th step of the Aid Grimmel quest is broken, one of my friends knew how to do this and when he told me how I had him search for the party platter and a platter and any resulting sub combines for said platter(since they're usually lumped together) as well as the last signet and he found no trace whatsoever of any of these items. About a month or two ago Verant fixed it so that people could no longer database dive due to people bringing up items and spoiling some drops before anyone had ever seen the mobs that could even drop them, the fix was even stated in a patch message I believe.

"Edit in" This is also how people made fake links and got links to GM items such as Da Oogly Stick(troll illusion) and items such as that Cranial Container thing that had like 20k hp/mana and neg 100 to all stats or something.

Actually the avatar effect that was on the bp was pretty much pointless for anyone that could get it. Attack from worn items and the proced avatar from primal weapons is capped. The bp effect was the same avatar on primals and was included in said cap. All other spells, primal cast by a shaman, bst, ranger, bard, etc buffs aren't included in this cap but the proc on primal/prismatic weapons and the bps (by assumption of using the same spell) are.

If you add together the attack bonuses from the rest of a set of elemental armor you come up exactly 100points below the cap. When you start figuring in that you still have 2 earrings, face, neck, 2rings, belt, cloak, 2 weapons, range and potentially charm slot also to add attack and that there are items with 50 attack on them out there it isnt' very hard to hit that cap. With 11 or 12 slots to get that 100 attack you only need vengance 2 or equivilent effect (10 attack) on most of the slots to hit the cap.

Easiest way was to put an item link in a social, then quit out to desktop and edit to the ini file to change the link from the number of the item you had to the number you wanted (optionally, cut and paste thousands of times first, or just write a script). This is why you can't put links in socials any more, you've got to type out your /auc's by hand.

I've relayed to the DenMum for updating. If anyone wants to check the other items that may be incorrect against Lucy or Magelo or somewhere, that'd help too

The plane of time is gonna be where the elemental BP molds drop, and no one is there yet. Also, iirc, the plane of time is not complete, its still being worked on, so the stats on the BPs can change at any moment.

Aye, at this point, there's really no point in me changing the stats on the site ... until such time as someone actually obtains one of the durn things, anything can happen. If it's true that these molds are only to be dropped in the Plane of Time, then Magelo isn't any more "right" than what's on the site, as no matter if it's "live" in their database, the source is suspect because the durn thing is NOT live in the game.

I *may* just remove the stats from all the elemental BPs from that page altogether, but then I'm sure I'll have well-meaning folks trying to "correct" that page no matter what I have up there, so I may just leave it until we see the final product live.

I would suggest you go ahead and remove all the bps from the page. Put a note in that you will add them when they are actually obtained in game. A rumor I heard was that none of the web sites have the correct effect on the current bps, that they were all changed recently.
