Bug with Aid Grimel quest.

Got to the brewing portion of the Aid Grimel quest last night. Skill of 219, and Geerlok, he spoke to me just fine, gave me the 4 slot container and the dust.

But, there's part of this quest where he says tell him you need more dust, just tell him.

So, I told him "I need dust." What happens? He gives me the "your skill sucks" message.

There is an easy workaround, just start the quest over again, and you'll just get a "Duplicate Lore items are not allowed" message, for the 4 slot container, but you will get the dust.

I did a /bug report on this, but I figured I'd post here for those intending to work on it.


Oh, and I was successful on all combines, even the final combine for Brewing at 219 + Geerlok. 8)

i think being able to use the skill modifiers is the true bug and not that it wont give you the dust at 219.

thats a simple fix, you can keep telling him you have skill in brewing and he will give you more dusts...they arent lore so you can get as many as you need

Basically this quest works with a *mod* skill, which means for the various portions of this quest you can use the quest item combines to furthur your skill in said skill. whether or not this is reasonable to do ex: getting the gnome brews to make the quest drink to raise the skill is up for debate. In any case this quest should only react to true skill and ignore skill mods imo.
