Hi, my name is Cigarskunk and I've got two characters that will do the shawl quest - a SK and a chanter.

The SK was never meant to do the shawl quest to the end - I had the parts to do the first two and I needed some int gear to help my baking - kewl, free +2 int item.

But then I found myself banging out #3 just because I was a GM cook and I could.

Then a windfall of Thurg gate potion materials made doing #4 no big deal - just had to find the @#$% dwarf and not find the @#$% KDS a 28th time - that's right, 27 KDS in a row folks.

Now I find myself working up the SK's tailoring for the 5th shawl and killing wurms in GD whenever I come across one - green or not and it's even erking me that of all his skills, my SK has a zero in JC - I keep meaning to fix that.

@#$%!!!!!!!!! Only the chanter was supposed to take the time and effort to get this thing - the SK is a tank - he wears heavy armor into battle as he rides his unholy steed and chops his opponents to peices with his 2H slashing weapon of the moment.

CHAOTIC EVIL TROLL SHADOW KNIGHTS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE AN OLD LADY'S SHAWL AS THIER SHOULDER ARMOR FOR BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help me - please - make me stop - I can't resist the siren's call of the shawl quest - speaking of which, need to kill some sirens too. Wait?!?! Shoot - noooooooooooooooo............................

/em gets dragged screaming and clawing at the ground back into Thurg by his 4th shawl
    Cigarskunk!
No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

Don't worry Cigar. Getting smacked around by those sirens a few times will cure you of your shawl issues.

        Heh.

Between Shadowknights, fearkiting the Sirens makes it pretty easy to kill them...

        MWAHAHAHA

And yes, Morgrist is correct (I should know, I was his student for quite some time). NO Shawl, piece required to make the shawl, or even the Seal of Borannin (reward from the 3rd shawl that you can use to "cheat" and skip the baking portion) is stuck to your fingers on Firiona Vie.

They are ALL tradeable; Glowing Worm Bile goes for about 800 platinum a piece in the bazaar. There are many people who are known as "Bilehos" because they will farm much more bile than the 5 (possibly 10) they need for the shawl.

Silk Threads for Shawl 5 sometimes go for 10; I'm amazed people buy them, but they do sell.

I've seen SEVERAL Shawl 7's for sale.

Of course, the whiskers for Shawl 6 will TRIVIAL by the time you can kill the other creatures needed for that step and that's another beast in itself; I should know, I've screwed up the spool twice (not the final combine, the FIRST combine.)

((DISCLAIMER: If I say something's tradeable, please don't tell me I'm wrong.))
