8th Shawl Breastplate problem

First of all Loremaster Solstrin didn't give me the "Precious Gem Study", don't know if this matters.

The recipe says "Combine in Forge: Velium Rings, 3 Folded Sheets of Velium, Soft Fur Padding, Velium Smithing Hammer, Plate Breastplate Mold = Royal Velium Field Plate"

I've not found a "Plate Breastplate Mold".. only "Breastplate Mold"...
I'd also assume it's just 1 Velium Ring.

Next, the recipe says "Combine in Jewelry Kit: Royal Velium Breastplate, Faceted Diamond, Etching Tools = Imbued Royal Velium Breastplate"

How id the Royal Velium Field Plate turn into Royal Velium Breastplate all of a sudden?

I'm combining in a collapsible jewelry kit? Could that be affecting it?

I've made this twice, and both times ended up with Imbued Royal Velium Field Plate, which doesn't work in the Issue kit. Need some help please!
Any suggestions?

I haven't done it yet myself, so I can't say on the names, but the Imbued Royal Velium Field Plate should be the right item. There aren't any variations of "imbued royal velium" out there unrelated to the quest.

Are you putting two bracers in the Issue Kit when you attempt to combine?

What you did is correct.

After making the BP, you do combine it in a jewlery kit with the gem and etching tools. So long as it's still no drop, you're fine.

You can combine the finished BP in the jewlery kit with the etching tools once more to create the tradeable Etched Royal Velium BP.

However, the tradeable one is NOT the one used in the quest.

Just checked my logs.

Normally what you want to buy are molds called "Plate Boot Mold" and the like. However, for breastplates, it is called "Breastplate Mold" - no "plate". You can buy them from Alabaer Escorioan in the bazaar.

Yes. Just 1 velium ring per combine.

I'm not sure about the intermediate step, but the final combine results in an "Imbued Royal Velium Field Plate" not an "Imbued Royal Velium Breastplate" as listed in the the otherwise most excellent EQTC guide.

You need (taken directly from my logs):
2 Imbued Royal Velium Bracer YOU NEED TWO OF THESE!!!
1 Imbued Royal Velium Boots
1 Imbued Royal Velium Vambraces
1 Imbued Royal Velium Gauntlets
1 Imbued Royal Velium Helmet
1 Imbued Royal Velium Field Plate
1 Imbued Royal Velium Greaves
To make a total of 8 items. Place in issue kit and combine.
