I had heard, early on, that you had to be grandmaster at a skill and you would receive quests. Is this true? If so, do you have to be at 250 or will something lesser do?

it sounds like you're talking about the Aid Grimel quest which is stickied at the top of this forum

Its 220 or higher in each skill to get each of the quest parts. Otherwise he just kinda laughs at you. Dunno if the modifiers work or not since im either 250 or not close enough to try them.
