  • ATTN Mod: Improvement to 6th Shawl Quest Info

The 6th shawl quest info could really use a screen shot of the drakkel dire wolves, and a comment on how difficult it is to see the whiskers against the grey of the new UI. I just went hunting the other day, and I probably lost several whiskers because I didn't see them. If the quest info had a note about this, I think it would help lots of new shawl questors.

Whiskers in general and a few other items are REALY hard to see with tat background. I've gotten into the habit of conning mob to see if their decay timer is more than 30 seconds and checking to make sure the body disappears when I've taken everything off it. (If I don't want it, it gets destroyed unless someone else has spoken up.)

The problem is that often times with the Drakkel Dire Wolves, they also have a peice of fur. So if I finish looting a wolf and its body doesn't dissapear, I know I've missed a whisker. But if I don't loot the furs (and I don't typically) then I have no way of knowing whether there was a whisker on the corpse or not unless I look really closely/

I've gotten the habit a long time ago to always hit 'Alt' whenever I loot something.. this pops up those nifty little description tags that says what everything is in the visable windows (Except main inventory, which is dumb)

I've never had trouble spotting the whiskers even if they're almost impossible to spot with the naked eye.

Good idea. I'd rather not do the screenshot in the interests of keeping the guide printable, but I did add a note and a recommendation to hit the Alt key when looting wolves.

          Thanks for the suggestions

I’m no good with modding UIs, but maybe someone with XML skills could mod up bags/containers with a light background in the slots area, light beige a-la-EQTC maybe (white is too bright) ?

Or can you do that in-game? (Hmm, gonna have to try using that right-click menu option to change background colors.)

Might want to mention that for the siren hairs as well - they're also pretty hard to see.
