Anyone know if the intermediate items in the quest are tradeable? Such as the special shellac. Wondering if the bards have to master both brewing and pottery.

Each of the quests has a minor turn-in item (kromriff bones, siren hair, etc), so even if the tradeskill items are no-drop, you can still MQ them.

Some additionally info it appears that you must be ally with CoV to do these quests. Have our bard all set up now she's ticking through faction.

Did the pottery combine for the lute at skill 122 and it was trivial. So pottery skill needed < 122

I don't think you need to be ally. My bard is only amiable and the quest giver does go through the conversation with him. However, I haven't tried that actual turn in. But normally if he talks to you and gives you the quest, you are good to go.

If he gives you the quest but doesn't accept the quest items, it's a bug.

Can you confirm the name of the shellac you used?

I am afraid I can't, I forgot it

I get too excited when I am working on critical combines to remember details, unfortunately. All I could think at the time was "if I blow these combines, it's back to hours of whacking more tar goos", as the Oily Goo Secretion drop seems to be fairly uncommon.

I still may do the Draconic Fellowship Drum quest since I have the Kromrif Bones and a Brontotherium Hide sitting in my bard's inventory. I believe it also involves making the shellac, and I can post the name if/when I do it, or perhaps another kind soul could.
