New Quest NPC in Erudin ... Fier'Dal Robe Pattern

Her name is Valani Gadriek, she's appeared since patch.
Female Erudite in a robe.

She's by the loom in Erudin, loc n853 n66.

Hailing her, she mentions a pattern, but that tells you to get lost.

Hailing her with a HIE caster, she give you the pattern and mentions that through her research and tailoring, she has become the first among us to develop a set of robes infused with great power.

Every time you hail her, she provides a pattern. I don't have NPC text yet, but will try to get it from a log to post.

Patterns are stackable.

So far, unable to get any sort of recipe out of her as to what else is required to make the robes.

And in Eruditin? Ya, she's Erudite but why giving out High Elf Robes that say they are for Wood Elfs? Someone messed up that one :shock: ....

Hailing her with a different race/class combo might possibly give something else.... I will try today with a newbie erudite.

There is also Trishalis Leredar in West Freeport (neg260 neg500) who talks about patterns.

Wouldn't give my human a pattern however.

The one in Freeport also wouldn't talk to my Erudite enchanter, no matter what illusion I put up. (Okay, I only tried human, high elf and gnome, going for int caster types.)

I can confirm the follow, from my experiment tonight.

1) neither the chick in Erudin, nor the chick in WFP are fooled by illusion. Clever girls, they are. Even when my gnome became a "high Elf", Ms. Gadrick saw right through me.

2) Gnome is, apparently, not the correct race for either NPC. /rude

3) Rivervale has no visible person who told me to get lost.

4) Both quest NPCs conned indifferent to me. The rest of erudin people, I beleieve , were apprehensive. I didnt check the rest of FP people.

Anyone want to double check rivervale for me? Or would a high elf like to tell me/us how Valani Gadrick Cons to you?

I'm sort of wondering if this has to do with the 50+ spell research that looks like it might be coming out soon.

1) I tried, with the chick in FP

1) Dark Elf
2) Barbarian
3) Wood Elf
4) Half Elf
5) Gnome
6) Halfling


No luck.


Then I tried a High Elf, and she responds the same as the Erudite chick does, with the same pattern.


Someone in the game right now is checking out the NPC wqho was found in Ak Anon...


We think it might be all INT caster starting citites, bu who knows...... Its look like all High Elves from here..

So far, all 3 only respond and give pattern to HIE chars ....

Ak'Anon guy is right next to the cultural forge in Ak'Anon.

All 3 are wearing Kedge robe graphic robes.

Erudin, W FP, Ak'Anon ... all INT caster starting cities.

Nothing new in Paineel.

Neriak, Qeynos, Cabilis, Felwithe may possibly have others ... will see what tonights patch brings.

ATM, seems like all 3 were placed and had their text and viable race copied identically. Why have 3 NPC all give the same pattern?

Hopefully, it's just starting to be implemented, and will wind up being for each correct race of the NPC.
