What Dain faction is needed?

For 8th shawl do i have to be ally to Dain or is there a lesser faction that is acceptable? Been looking for the info but havent found it anywhere.

I do not know this from personal experience, but from what I have read, simply having dubious faction should work, ie no neg dain hits. can anyone verify this?

aye, just need to be non-kos to dain (dubious works)... However, I do believe that you start off kos to dain without any faction... Only one way to check...

And as for where to find the info, from the main page click on Quests, then scroll down to the Velious section and click on Coldain Prayer Shawl Quests and click on Shawl 8.

If you have gone completely through the first seven shawl quests doing all the work and receiving all of the faction hits yourself, and have never taken any additional positive or negative hits to Dain faction, you will be dubious to the Dain. That is okay, it is sufficient. The problem if you have taken any negative hits is that we're not sure exactly where this leaves you within the category of dubious. So far all reports indicate that as long as you are dubious, you should be okay. If you want to be absolutely positively safe then you should go to apprehensive, but dubious should be okay.
