Racial cultural armor

Hi all. I'm new to these forums, and to tradeskilling in general. I've been working on a self-sufficient character, and someone mentioned "Racial Cultural Armor" (he mentioned, for instance in Qeynos, that there's a half-elf standing by the Priest of Discord that gives out these quests). I was trying to look for these quests on here, since, apparently they're tradeskill oriented. I didn't see anything under Newbie Armor quests, or under the specific regions (I'm playing a Wood Elf, so I looked under Kelethin-the only thing there is the Trueshot Bow).

Am I looking under the wrong thing?

They were under Dragons of Norrath, because that is the expansion when they became available.

The quest giver in Qeynos (and in most hometowns) is specifically for the "new" cultural that was introduced in the Dragons of Norrath expansion. Both smithed and tailored items can be made, covering any race/class combination. The armors can then be further tuned to your character by adding diety-specific symbols (augments) that significantly improve the armor's base stats. All of the quest writeups can be found here.
The first three tiers (Journeyman, Expert, and Master) can be done without owning DoN, but the Grandmaster level requires it.

If you're interested in tradeskills and/or being self-sufficient, it's definitely something to be aware of. Hope that helps.
