DoN Froglok cultural pattern book?

Recently started a froglok SK. I started the DoN pattern book quest but havent been able to find the last mob needed. Since the update of South Ro and Oasis is the mob "young ronin" still out there? Havent been able to locate him now for 3 levels.

Heh, I plan on going after the Young Ronin myself today or tomorrow. I got a Ranger to bring with my Frog Shaman.

Looks like you have been hunting both SRo and Oasis. Any zone more than the other? My initial plan is/was to hit the Derv camps in SRo and just keep them down for a while. But if you allready have done that, I'll move on to Oasis and try there.

Will post results asap, (please post when/if you find him).

well, i dont know much about new zones, but if hes anything like he used to be, be prepared for an hour or 2 of waiting.. he spawned in ... hrmm which zone was it... i think Oasis.. yah Oasis.. at one of the Derv camps after killing them for hours over several days..

Allakhazam lists him as spawning in South Ro now.

Doremi, do you know if all of the former inhabitants of Oasis were just moved to South Ro in Alla's database or if they were confirmed before moving?

I asked the person who moved them, and he said that they were all verified with the exception of rares, and those were moved based on educated guesses. Basically, Oasis was mostly moved into South Ro.

Hopefully someone else can verify for sure either way.

During beta, one of the devs said that all the NPC's in the old Oasis were confirmed moved to the new South Ro, and that several new NPC's were added. Of course, that doesn't preclude the possibility of an error or a bug causing some NPC's to not appear.

Ok, I have a total of 6 hours of South Ro mayhem behind me, and still no Young Ronin...

Used a Ranger aswell, tho i can never be 100%, I don't think I missed him on track if he popped.

Ran between the four derv camps, slaughtered those. And when en-route to the next camp, took out whatever that passed before me.

Just bad RNG or am I doing something wrong?

Bleh, I really want to get my Frog the DoN armor. The ranger got a full set, minus one bracer, (whoever had the "great" idea about Pouch of Mistletoe Powder should be silly-spanked with a herring, but thats another story), got hooked, and now I want it on the frog, (and the druid.. hehe).

I'd kill all the trash mobs, not just the dervishes. From past experience, pretty much anything in SRo can be a PH for the named/rares (e.g., for Ancient Cyclops).

I recently did the froglok basic book.
At first I camped a while in SRo in the area that was also South Ro before PoR and had no luck.
A guildy pointed me to the Dervish Camp that is south westish in the area that used to be Oasis...cleared that camp 4 times and then a Ronin spawned. Dont know if it is an easier spot or that I was just lucky

I did this just about a week ago. I was clearing everything I could to get the other pieces also when one finally spawned in the derv camp nearest Takish Hiz. BEWARE! There was a derv in the camp when he spawned and they imediately agro'd each other. The young ronin was getting his butt kicked and the derv would most certainly have killed him (my nuke killed the derv with the young ronin at only 20pct health so I was able kill him and loot).

I'm guessing that if the young ronin spawns in a full camp of dervs, he won't last long (seconds).

I too ran into him with my Frog in the same spot. He was just standing in the Derv camp SW of the water. I'd say clear that camp as often as you can.
