Making Mechanoistructions as a non-researcher

It appears I just wasted a ton of time getting Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual. I have a question about this. Bellfast has 2 different quests you can do to get this manual made. One of those quests is for people without research skills. What was the point of that when you can't do anything with it once you have it since you don't have research skills.

I'm a bit lost on this one.

I was also bummed that doing Belfast's first 2 quests yields very little to a non-researcher. However, there are two reasons I can see why a non-researcher should have a way to get these books.

The tiny (but currently of some value) reason is that one of the 3 followup quests results in a book used when making one of the molds used in making the AAAA. This is a non-research combine.

The main reason I can think of, is that the books contain the lore explaining how to make the AAAA and all required items to use it. While this lore is no longer valuable now that the recipies are posted, there was a time when discovering this information could have been reason enough for the task.
