Fire Undergarment without Sol Ro?

Has anyone ever tried turning in the Fire Undergarment Tunic before getting Fire flagged?

I have seen allot of conjecture and rumour but I have not seen a post saying they had tried and the item was eaten.

Someone confirmed this 16 posts down.....

And I turned it in two days ago without killing SolRo....so confirmed again.

I was 1/4 at 252 tailoring.

Same here. Did the turn-in with no Sol Ro flag. 1/2 in tailoring btw.

Confirmed last night, no access to Fire - combined tunic, turned it in, got new earring. Very pleased that I am 1/1 on this combine considering I failed the JC and pottery combines, twice.

The million dollar question, can I continue / finish the quest without Fire access? I have access to the other planes, but I didn't think to check on the fletching text.

Eventually I will have Fire access, but I would love to continue the quest until I get Sol Ro dead.

Confirmed you can finish the quest.....where is my million dollars. The quest write up on this site is correct in that Grim never checks for your PoF flag again. I turned in fletching, he handed me the bag for ear 7 baking, and then I turned in hope stone for the final ear yesterday to the councilman. I have no PoF access, only SolRo Tower and the minis for access to SolRo.

This begs the question of whether you likewise need Rallos Zek to do the fletching step.

Possibly you can do steps 5 and 6 without any eflag access at all?

Pardon the resurrection of this ancient thread but I have now answered my own question and can confirm.

You do not need any elemental flags to do either steps 5 or 6 of Aid Grimel... I just received my Runed Signet (step 6 fletching). I am not flagged for any elementals either the regular way (RZ + Sol Ro) or the backflagging way.
