Thoroughly tested to try to get Signet of Might and Signet of the Arcane at the same time.

Left Signet of Might on a corpse in another zone. Turned in Marked Runed Signet & Hope Stone. Councilman returned both to me.

Wore Signet of Might. Turned in Marked Runed Signet & Hope Stone. Councilman ATE both of them and said "You have proven yourself as both a Master of the Trade, as a valiant spirit, and an ally to the cause, but I fear I have nothing else to give to an adventurer of your caliber."

Not possible to have both at once currently. Looks like they did the coding correctly.

Appreciate the info, as I've really wanted to do this myself, but don't have the nads to try it. Hopefully an unsuspecting GM returned your Marked Runed Signet due to your "accident"

I've filed a petition. No reason the marked runed signet shouldn't be returned, IMHO. I worked hard for it.

The quest giver gave me the quest. But not the reward. Under Verant's rules, if they give you the quest, they have to give you the reward. Hence, it's a bug, and I get my stuff back. That's how I see it, I'll escalate as necessary.

Not to mention all the free software testing I just did for them LOL.

Further testing

Just a FYI, I also tried this by swapping my Arcane for Might then leaving it on a corpse, waiting a week for the corpse to rot, then turning in another Hope stone and marked runed signet. He gives them back and gives his speel about must have both items blah blah. Went to Shadowrest and "called" corpse, went back to PoK and tried again with same results so even with your earring on a corpse in limbo or in Shadowrest it still will not allow you to have both.

I'm guessing that you have some kind of a "flag" on your character if you've earned the aid grimel earring and it checks for this before giving you the final result.

So the next test is to complete the quest (to get the flag, we think), then destroy the earing and try to do another to see if the 'flag' will let you have it then.

Having said that...... dont people on FV make em and sell em?

The turnin must check if your character already has a completed earing 'somewhere', and fail if you already do.

Make them, yes. Sell them, I haven't seen one yet. The ingrediants are too rare, the elementals are not overfarmed (yet), and those who can make signets keep their waiting lists secret.

As for a hidden character flag, that would put a really big damper on FV's market, since a player could only ever make one of the final signets, be it for personal use or for resale.

A few months ago, I'd heard of two players (hybrid and caster) doing the quest, trading the signets they each got, putting those signets into the shared bank slot, and then redoing the quest. This way they got both signets to wear. So before, it wasn't a hidden flag, but I do not know if there is one now.

I'm nearing the elementals, I have all ingrediants for my own personal signet, then I'll be attempting another one for my guild leader. Time will tell.

Well, I'm confused...what classes could actually wear both earrings anyway? I know it says all/all, but the initial reward is based on your class. Why even bother with this?

There is an NPC that you can turn in your earing for the other one (on all servers).

Maybe, me as a druid, have already got maxed FT, and the focus effect on my elemental boots, so i could change to the melee earing to make use of the regen etc. (I havent got eleboots or maxed ft yet... but i am just saying)

It all depends on your other gear and play style.

The point of this was to see if you could get your earing, exchange it for the other one, and then redo the quest for your class earing again... to end up with one of each.
