PoFire access for Grimmel?

I recently finished up the pottery part of Aid Grimmel, and am now looking towards the Tailoring part. The only problem is that I'm still a Sol Ro kill away from PoFire access.

My question is whether or not I can complete this portion of the quest if I have someone else farm the parts for me?

You could do the combine without the flag if your friend farms the ingrediants, but I wouldn't try to hand in the completed tunic until you get the flag.

Well from the guide off of eqtraders on aid grimel:
Part 5: Tailoring
Skill requirement: 220 Tailoring

Flag requirement: Solusek Ro / Plane of Fire

So like the above poster said, I'm sure you could MAKE the tunic unflagged, but you'd be wise to not try to turn it and your earing in before getting flagged for fire.

I have dont turn-ins without having the required flags. Was not a problem getting the items turned in, or the upgraded earring back.

Are you saying that provided that you can get hold of the drops required and make the items you do not need the flags, just the skill levels ?

I would be very interested in any conformation of this.

You can definitely finish all 7 parts without access to plane of fire. I've done it myself and I've never even zoned into Sol Ro.

The reason is because Grimel doesn't give you any items to start the tailoring and fletching parts so you don't even need to talk to him. Just do the combines and turn in the final items and he gives you the next earring.

I have EP and SRT access but not PoFire (still missing Solusek Ro kill). After reading this thread I tried the tailoring part and IT WORKED . I got the earing

Yep, that's me, been out of touch from these boards too long, primarily cuz they block a lot of my favorite EQ sites from work (dang bastages!)

Now if I had only known this before, I could have had my AG earring around a month earlier and not stress out as much as I did
