    Does anyone know if the zek bane weapons (dark courage and black insanity) work against velious era (kromrif/kromzek/tormax) mobs?

    AFAIK, these only work on the God Zeks. Tallon, Vallon, and Rallos. Also it is a PITA to get the metal to make these cause you have to keep fighting a mob that has AE rampage to get him to summon the sowrds that drop the metal.

      These don't even work on the regular mobs in Tactics? If not, then I guess there's not much point in making any of them.

        Well, not much... as they are very limited. Most don't bother really... though the black insanity weapons are really nice stat wise against RZ.

        They're basically like Seru bane weapons, not really needed but makes fights against the mobs they're made for a little easier.

          Yes and no. Seru is impervious to non-bane melee damage, so you can't do very much to him with a Windblade, for example. Melee classes get to SALP (sit and look pretty) if they don't have bane weapons against Seru.

          Rallos will take damage from any weapon, though; so your melees can use all their normal weapons and still contribute.

            Only some of the mobs in PoTactics are affected by the bane on zekbane weapons. I think it is only the zek brothers and the ogres in purplish armor.

            As for dark courages, they are nice for twinks. They might be useful for your rangers to have the zekbane bows, especially for TZ. But otherwise it appears to be a waste to make them.

            A couple Luclin era mobs are immune to normal combat and for those you totally have to have bane weapons: seru, emp ssra, valdanov.
