    oracle bp question ><

    i did a search! i've been wondering about this for months.

    in regards to the oracle quest, do i need to turn in a thurg bp pattern to him or an actual thurg bp? i have a thurg bp. i've had it forever and if you promise not to tell anyone, i'll admit that i wear it as my primary robe. do i have to get another bp pattern or can i use the actual one?

      If you're upgrading directly from the thurg robe to the oracle robe, don't worry, you won't be robeless for longer than 5 seconds or so (or however long it takes you to hand 2 items to the turn in guy).

        The robe can't be MQ'ed can it? I keep reading differant things. I don't have one but a friend has one rotting in the bank.

          Originally the robe could be MQ'd, but can't anymore. That was changed not too long after the quest was solved, and to the best of my knowledge the token is eaten and the (original) robe returned.

            You can MQ the Thurg BP (ie one person turns in the BP, you turn in the gems one by one and you get the reward). Unless it has been changed (and I doubt it has) you can use ANY Thurg/SS/KD BP as long as it's a caster BP (ie int or wis caster... don't try to turn in a melee or hybrid BP) and get the appropriate Oracle BP back. You CANNOT do the MQ with the Oracle himself, but the fact that you can use any velious caster bp broadens your options.

              To clarify what Xoritha is saying:

              When getting your Velious BP (in Thurgadin, Skyshrine, or Kael Drakkel), you can MQ the BP. One person hands in gems, the other hands in the no-drop item).

              When getting your Grand Robe or Grand Tunic, you CANNOT do an MQ. Raotin will eat the token and return the Velious BP.
