It is my understanding that you CAN MQ the Hope Stone, however, you cannot MQ the other components unless the person that intends to get the components is other skill and progression flagged to where they could do it themselves (it may be possible that to MQ the Stone, you need someone who is already flagged in the skill areas as well to do it)Lickity

Aye, you have to hand both the 2nd-to-final earring AND the hope stone in the same turn in to get the final earring. If you just hand the hope stone (like someone just said), you will get it back.Crystilla

what exactly do i need to start this quest?
I have high skills (all close to 200) and gm JC so what do i need i have no flaggs and am a 52 chanter.Comment

You need all Flags up to PoFire, plus you need 220+ in all tradeskills.
If you go to main page, Click Quests>PoP>Aid Grimel, then you can see what steps require what access etc
