i recently spent a bunch of time raising my tailoring to 158 (farmed most of my own spider silks and crystalline silks lol).
went to CS and spent a couple hours slaughtering sirens with a headshot ranger. ended up with 6 hairs. I had the rest of the stuff to do one combine in my bank. so i ran to thurg, got the pattern and hit the bank. hit combine on thread... safe. put all the stuff in collapsible tailoring kit, crossed my fingers... and ta-da! shawl 6.
I'm so glad i didnt' have to get more dire wolf whiskers, getting 2 of those took twice as long as getting 6 siren hairs (to bad i ended up needing only 2 of those, oh well.)
