  • Baking/Brewing GoD quest.

Ok, this isn't a very major quest. Low skill required, low investment, low reward.

In Riwwi, there are numerous Yunja (the new elf people) being held as slaves. Occasionally one will spawn as a "thirsty", "starving", "famished", "hungry", etc. Yunja. Hail the Yunja to see what precisely they want.

The thirsty Yunja accepted the Taelosian Black Mint Tea and Taelosian White Mint Tea that I made, giving me +faction with Yunja Slave Resistance and a very small amount of exp.

The hungry Yunja asked for anything made with crab, cragbeast, hynid, or one other thing I can't remember. Anyway, hand them whatever they asked for (I used Spiced Hynid/Cragbeast Sandwiches) and you get the same reward; faction and exp.

After roughly 6 to 10 turn-ins, the thirsty/hungry Yunja respawns as a normal Enslaved Yunja. Stupid pooch that I am, it didn't occur to me to hail the newly satisfied Yunja to see if I got a response other than simple suspicion (the usual response).

Hmm, I wonder if you satisfy the hunger and thirst of enough of these slavers if it triggers an event, a la handing in Torgiran Shackle Keys to resistance miners in Torgiran Mines.

This is a small part of a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG , raid heavy, progress through the tiers quest.

You need to improve your slave faction to get part of the quest from one of the slaves. You get slave faction, among other ways, buy giving the right food/drink to the Hungry/Thirsty slaves.

But that's where the tradeskill involvement ends. :-(

For those working on getting thier faction up, the slaves despawn after giving them no less than (8) of the item they ask for. To gain faction for more than (8) of them, give them 4 at once (unstacked), then 3 at once (unstacked), then 4 more (unstacked) for a total of 11.

When they despawn they can spawn as another thirsty/famished or whatever type of slave.

It took me maybe 500-600 food/drink items to get me to ally from dubious (you can attain amiable faction if you equip the staff you get from buying the boxed version of GoD).

Every 20 minutes or so, each slave despawns and can respawn as one of the ones asking for food or drink.

To clarify, am I correct that the slaves ask for a specific GoD food or drink and will only accept that particular item?

Is there any particular pattern to which type of slave (hungry, thirsty, famished, etc) will ask for which food or does that vary somewhat? Obviously thirstys should ask for drink, but will different thirstys ask for different drinks?

The slaves ask for either "something made of crab", "something made of cragbeast", "something made of tuna", "something made of hynid" or "spirits".

I have handed in various forms of meats including Dried ___, Beer-battered ___, Beer-Battered ___ Steaks, Beer-Battered ___ Sandwiches. They have all been accepted as long as its the type of meat requested by the slaves. I didn't make any Taelosian Teas so I'm afriad I left the thirsting yunjos thirsty.

Also from what I could tell, food that trivials higher (Eg, Beer-Battered Hynid Steak and Beer-Battered Cragbeast Steak both trivials at 222), the more faction modification you recieve. I was mainly handing in steaks and I got to warmly with around 250 steaks.

It varies, the slaves can ask for any type of meat regardless if they are hungry, famished, etc...

Obviously thirstys should ask for drink, but will different thirstys ask for different drinks?
From what I have seen, all thirsty yunjo ask for spirits. I will presume they will accept the same type of drinks. However I have never given them any items so its just an assumption.

Just to clarify, the only slaves in Riwwi that can spawn as hungry/thirsty are the ones in the two cages behind the coliseum thing? I'd check for myself but I'm just a cleric with bad luck with invis timers.

I've read that the hungry slaves reside in the first building to your left on zoning into Riwwi from Qinimi. While I realise many Riwwi mobs see invis, I was wondering if it was possible to do the hand-ins solo if one first very carefully invissed to the building? Or do the Muramites path within aggro range?

It is possible to reach the slaves with invis. However you will have to uninvis to give food to the slaves and there are kos mobs in the same room often within aggro distance.

IF you are very careful, you can position yourself *just* slightly out of aggro range and can still be within range to give food. Just be sure you have a way to deal with aggro because you will get it occasionally no matter how good you are at positioning yourself.

Here is Kanamdar's guide for the entire quest. Here is the list of Yunjo's and what they want pulled from his writeup.

Thirsty Yunjo - Needs Taelosian Tea
Starving Yunjo - Something with Cragbeast
Emaciated Yunjo - Something with Crab
Famished Yunjo - Something with Tuna
Hungry Yunjo - Something with Hynid

On a side note, it is believed that the higher the trivial on the food, the bigger the faction hit. Also, I have turned in roughly 200ish which has netted me amiable faction and roughly 50% AA.
