  • 8th Shawl Questions Please

    Hey all,

Well I am about to do the 8th Shawl and pretty exited about it but I had few questions on the EQ traders guide (which has been great btw, thanks) for the 8th.

I am a little confused on this approved, original designation given to the shawl and the ability to summon the Dain and one other thing. Following is what I think is being said in the guide, is this correct please advise.

After 7th is completed and to start the 8th I give the 7th shawl (original) to Loremaster Borannin and he gives it (the original) back to me. At this point I can go and do all the armor combines including talking to Meg Tucter for the etching tools kind of out of turn and then go to find of summon the Dain.

At that point I give the “original” shawl to no one but the Dain if up or the Chamberlain if not up. At that point I get the approved and orders form the Dain or I give to the chamberlain and he gives me the approved and the Dain spawns and I give to him and get the approved back and the orders.

The rest I think I got, sorry I do not mean to be thick about this but after all this work I just want to make sure I am doing this last part correct.

    Thanks

You can already do the combines for the armor until you have the eight items you need to put into the kit; that's what I did.

Next, when I had all items ready, I went to see if the Dain was up - which he was luckily. I then handed him the Shawl and obtained the kit from him in which I put the items and hit combine. After handing it back to him, I got the closed kit back along with the field orders and I was sent off to help the General.

If he isn't up, you can summon him through the Chamberlain.

I would advise to just have all eight items ready for the combine before visiting the Dain, so you can perform the Dain meetings in one go.
