Are Geozite Tools used up during the pike combines?

Mesosmart: 100 Tailoring, 117 Smithing, 122 Brewing
Lundaein: 160 something Smithing, 90 something Tailoring -
I know that long, long, long, long ago you used to lose it. But I found this on Allakhazam:It was under the footman's pike writeup.its so easy now

I just did this. Its been changed so u automatically succeed at making these items. Y even get the geozite tool back. The only downfall is that now you cannot increase your skill by making these items. I stood at the first dead tree along the road for about an hour and foraged a petrified redwood and had never used forage before. I think its absolutely worth it.
