Aid Grimel JC combine, what am i doing wrong?

Finally got bertoxx so i could start the Aid Grimel quest, and im at step 3 now, but im kinda stuck. Im supposed to put a Mounted Blue Diamond, Etching Tools, Etching Dust in a JC kit.
I got the dust from Grimel, tools from the JC lady in Thurg, and made a mounted BD, and put all 3 items in my JC kit, but nothing happens. Are there some known problems with that part of the quest at the moment?

Never mind, got it. The combine did NOT work in a normal JC kit, but worked in a planar kit
