Meouch had some problems with his pet attacking the general, but we were in good shape other than that. Just used the One group per MOB approach, with the extra groups adding DPS to the named.

Not wanting to start a new topic and since my question is related to the 8th shawl walk through....I decided to post it here.

I haven't found anything in search regarding this so either I missed it or it has never been asked.

My boyfriend and I both are completing the 8th shawl (have gems, just farming velium). From what the text states in the quest write up - it appears that the Avatar disappears after you've turned in your 7th shawl and that the 8th shawl appears on the ground. I am assuming that this means only one person can turn in a shawl to the avatar and that both of us need to walk the General across IC.

Is this a correct assumption?

Thanks in advance - this shawl quest has been nerve wracking at times but fun and worth it.

text says appears on the ground and you bend over to pick it up, the way it works is AoB despawns, taking your 7th and placing the 8th in your inventory.

Yah it doesn't actually end up on the ground It's in your inventory after turn in. lol The avatar despawns immediately after the turn in so you cannot do the turm in more than once. The general is on a 4 hour respawn timer and tends to be fairly well camped. It took me 5 weeks to get my 8th walk done because others were doing theirs.

Keep in mind I could only do it before a raid and we raid 2 times a week. Your gonna need a chanter for this walk at some point the general will aggro a group member. If you have a bard in your group tell him to not cast ANY aoe spells. While setting up for my walk the bard started selo's and this aggroed the general on him. Selo's is a beneficial spell but it will still cause him to aggro so when people say not aoe's they truly mean NO AOE's.
