I finished the 7th shawl for my shaman several months back. I started working on smithing, and collecting parts for the 8th shawl. since that time, however, I have retired my shaman, and leveled my chanter (64th now, original toon). I want ot get the 8th shawl on my chanter, and I searched fr info on MQing the 8th shawl here, but the only info I found related to the spawning of the Dain, so I am still very unclear on how to MQ it. I know I will have to work Smithing up on one of the toons, and that's fine. I will have worked up all my tradeskills by that point; I just don't want to have to work them all up twice. Too bad you can't transfer skills from one toon to another. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! =)

give your approved 7th shawl to the avatar first. make the armor and stuff again and get an extra issue kit. get teh note. then once the stuff is given to the general i think you just give the 7th shawl from another toon to the avatar and it works. not sure though.

You need to get the 7th shawl with your enchanter, and get it approved (I believe). Then, you can have your shaman do all the tradeskill stuff, and turn ins for shawl 8, except for the last one. Have your enchanter then turn in his approved 7th shawl to the Avatar, and the enchanter will get the 8th shawl.
As far as I know, there is no way to avoid having your enchanter get the 7th shawl.

you do avoid jc and blacksmithing that way though i think. tailoring is still a pita but not the added trouble of blacksmith and jc.
