7th Shawl

Finished shawl #7 today at lunch. It took me 2 try's, and I was quite relieved that we could keep the burin and just needed to go buy the blood and shell in the bazaar after failing the first time.

Note, as soon as I finished, I went ahead and combined 6 x soft fur padding:

Failed 1 / succeded 5
Skilled up twice (163 & 164)

I've got everything for the combines to make #8 except 3 more fur's and the two diamonds. Time to go kill a few more MOB's so I can get my 2nd epic!

Not to hijack your thread, Piikaa, but what force did you take and where did you hunt in Siren's Grotto for the Swordfish Tooth? I haven't had much luck in there so far, with my 56 Cleric and a full group of comprable levels with me. We survived, but the seahorses kept adding and forcing us out of the water.

There's a spawn with about 3 Swordfish in a shallow channel on the same level as the exit to Western Wastes... 1 that swims about, and 2 stationary. The single can be killed fairly readily but splitting the 2 is rather hard.... I used Fear on one of them while the other was being killed.

Since the revamp, I have seen swordfish spawn where there used to be just sea horses, in the first pool as you enter from CS.

The first pool as you zone in from CS can have swordfish or horsies. In this pool you will have one roaming mob that paths towards and away from that ledge that overlooks the pool (didn't know this first time I hopped in water and he added). Can fight him safely with nothing adding. Off to the right is a single mob, can fight with no adds if roamer dead. Off to upper left are two mobs that guard tunnel to other side of SG. Directly left is two mobs just down the tunnel some (actually looks like a single mob but I kept getting two when I pulled it).

What I did was hop in...kill roamer right at wall as I dropped into water. Kill mob to right...Killed two mobs to upper left...but made sure to stagger kills so spawn was split. Was just me (60th mage w/ epic pet) and 60th druid I boxed to heal. I even got to do this twice since I failed the combine that uses the tooth and molker hide Luckily got another hide on first molkor on other side of the Ghetto.

Thanks for the replies. Finally got the teeth for myself and the wife last night. The first pool was quite sufficient. The roamer was easy to see and there were about 4 other close spawns of seahorses right near the drop into the first pool. There was a 2 spawn of swordfish in the underwater channel to the immediate left (West) a single swordfish to the East tunnel and another single slightly northwest. We had a 65 SK, 65 Shammy, 63 Wiz, 61 Bard, 56 Cleric, and 54 Cleric there and until the horses were slowed, they were a real bugger. Watching a well-equipped 65 tank get chewed up so quickly was very disheartening. And to think, I'd considered trying to duo the camp with just the two Clerics. Hah! Anyways, we walked away with our teeth after about a total of 10 swordfish (first tooth dropped off first one!). After some slight tradeskill polishing both Runed Shawls were successfully made with no failures. Now on to see what we can manage for the 8th!

Is there a way to replace the runed prayer shawl pattern?I screwed up and destoryed mine by mistake . Does the pray give you the rune pattern or the runed shawl pattern?. gonna find out I guess.
