Aid Gimel JC Question

For the JC part of this we need the Etching Tools from Meg in Thurgadin.
Is there any way for someone with KOS Coldain faction to get the Etching Tools? They are No Drop are they not?

Would this require me to repair my Coldain faction?

How bad is your faction?

It shouldn't take too much repair work. Meg may not respond to hails etc. positively, but she will give up the etching tools on request if you are at least "apprehensive" to her. If you don't want to repair Coldain faction or risk damaging the other factions I'm sure you can pull off apprehensive with some variety of enchanter tricks/charms/illusions/etc. or snag some Puppet Strings if you can.

I did a search for etching tools before posting because I wanted to see if anyone else had run into this and found a way around it but it did not find that thread.

It appears others have run into it but have yet to find a way around it.

I am KOS to the dwarves. I am going to try the invis thing to get to her and see what she says to me.
If she will not give me the etching tools, I guess I will stop trying to raise my skills until I can get that faction back up.

I got the tools while KOS to coldain.. just invis into the jewelry shop, drop invis, and run through the text prompts.

An enchanter friend of mine is kos, so I pulled her to the zone, rooted her and zoned. She wouldn't give him the tools even when he allianced her. So I suggested that he turn into a dwarf. That got him to dubious and got him his tools.
