I don't think that there would be much of a problem from the shaman community if the effect went live as a clicky as it is now. The spell it doesn't stack with has 3 effects. Illusion bear, 2 hps a tick regen and 10 wis. Most shaman consider wisdom a pretty low priority, the hps regen is the same and illusion bear is rather pointless so i think the vast majority of shaman would be more than happy to use this clicky instead of bear form. Personally i haven't memed or cast bear form in ages.

Back at the fan faire in Las Vegas I got a copy of the Befallen supplement of the tabletop Everquest game. On the last page there's mention of how quests from the books are put into the online EQ game. The example cited is the Grand Robe of the Oracle quest, and it talks as though it was already in the game at that time (beginning of 2003). It also refers to the gold-runed blades, promising more info would be at the eqrpg.com site (but it isn't).

On the same page, there's a story about a group trying to kill the Lich of Marnek Jaull by using the phylactery and some special daggers (gold-runed blades) that presumably do bane damage. Marnek Jaull is supposedly the big bad boss in Befallen, and his essence is stored in the Desert of Ro.

This made me think the phylactery might have a use other than just a range-slot item. Also, it might be that the phylactery becomes a dark phylactery when you complete a quest that involves slaying a lich. But I've yet to find any further reference to gold-runed blades either online, in EQ, or in EQRPG books (not even AlKabor's Arcana). There's a Gold Runed Mithril Knife that drops from Solusek in Tower of Solusek Ro... but that doesn't seem related.

Its a new spell on test that would be useful to anyone, caster or melee alike, appears to be a permanent effect rather then a right click, would count towards FT cap

Maybe they will just give up, and make it Illusion: Dark Elf (Worn) so I can show through my TRUE roots and heritage with an item befitting my Tier`Dal heritage. They, after all, discovered Necromancy first.


I could only /WISH/ SOE could craft such a roleplay-worthy piece.

Considering that the pottery part uses the bind spell, maybe it's an item that casts bind for anyone anywhere - that would certainly make it a premo item for non-casters (although personally, I'd prefer unlimited gates)?
