General Question (8th shawl)

The quest text follows like this

"You say, "Hail, General Bragmur"

General Bragmur says, "Please keep yer voice down I am busy here. If you do not mind I would ask that ya kindly leave."
[Give General Bragmur: Approved Issue Kit]

General Bragmur begins to put the armor, "Finally the Dain has gotten word of my arrival here. I await his final orders before proceeding."

[Give General Bragmur: Expedition Orders]

General Bragmur says, "The final orders, follow me closely! I pray that the Kromrif have not learned of our plans to align with the gnomes."

what would happen if you didn't give your issue kit to him and just the expedition orders? I can't see what the issue kit triggers. Just wondering because I'm about to try my 8th shawl this weekend and i want it to go flawlessly

As I recall when I did this quest, handing him the box of armor actually respawns him with the armor on, so it is not technically the same NPC that you hand the expedition orders in to. Assuming this is the case, if you were to hand the expedition orders in first, it would be as if you handed an item to the wrong NPC: he would either eat it, leaving you SOL, or he'd give it back with some excuse.

Correct. I don't know if giving the orders first means they are given back or eaten, but I do know that you must give the armor first.

I really hope that they are returned. I can see many excited people turning in the wrong thing first accidentally.
