  • 7th Shawl: Sacred Velium Ink

Quick question. I was always under the impression that the Royal Kromriff Blood was a part of this recipie, however, according to the new recipie lists it is not. Has anyone verified if it is needed anymore?

That was apparently a typo - here is the actual recipe -

Combine in Fish Oil Extractor: 3 Iceclad Cutlass Fish = Cutlassfish Oil (Never Fails)
Combine in Brew Barrel: Rubbing Alcohol + Small Piece of Velium = Liquid Velium (Brewing 135)
Combine in Brew Barrel: Liquid Velium + Cutlassfish Oil + Royal Kromrif Blood = Sacred Velium Ink (Brewing 162)
    Cigarskunk!
No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

Kromriff blood is one of those things you save up favors for..
It's not the easiest thing to get.
I understand a high level rogue with max pickpocket can snatch it without doing any fighting, though I can't say for sure.

Not many folks are willing to put forth the effort to do the plate cycle for your blood, though if you happen to be in a guild that's gearing up on Thurg armor then you're in luck.

            its not extremely hard

I've had a sk friend fd pull the named outside of the manor ..once we cleared the manor.. Thats how I got mine and he got his 2 (he failed once )

The entire plate cycle is doable by 3 people

            I've done it w/ a enc , dru ,neco

As well as a cleric, enc, monk(I think) or pally)

Only hard part is the named guy--pretty much magic immune

Duo'd with 65 SK + 65 Shaman, the only problem was the last giant, who we chased all the way to the back of the manor when he hit low hp. Quite a bit of fun, considering I remember when it took a guild raid to do plate cycle.

Duo'd as well with druid/wizard using charm on the big dogs. Could probably easily solo it as well with those dogs.

Yes, a high level rogue with pickpocket can get the blood...

Hmm, you're probobly gonna scream then, but I scored my blood when someone was doing the cycle for one of thier coldain rings. The worst part about it was that I was the only person who actually wanted/needed the blood - two or them were actually going to rot until I had buddies loot them to hold for me just in case and then sell later on in the bazaar once I was cool.
