  • Getting to WW after Siren's Grotto revamp?

Howdy! I've got a question in light of the recent revamp of Siren's Grotto. I am in the process of farming things I need for my 8th shawl. The last things I need are the velium hound furs from Western Wastes.

Before, it was relatively simple to get to WW (evac to the other side of SG). Now I'm not so sure what will happen. I've heard that there are some KOS mobs at the landing point now.

Has anyone been through there yet that wouldn't mind posting about it?

The succor point is about 2 yards from the zone. As a 58 shaman you should be able to make that run.

You might also want to learn yourself the actual run, as opposed to always getting evaced (unless you have a pocket wizard). I always used to wait for an evac until one day no one was available and I have to be in ToV RIGHT NOW, so I dug up some maps from eqmaps.com and swam and ran. Wasn't half as bad as I had thought it was going to be.

Probably half the time that I make the run, I never even lose invis to the seahorses. Not certain if they just don't always see invis, or I just happen to swim far enough away from them.

        run to WW

Well, I got up my courage (as an many HP buffs as I could ) and made the run.

I got stunned a couple if times by the seahorses and swordfish, but made it without aggroing anything else.

I was able to reinvis as soon as I jumped out of the water.

I've done the succor to far side of SG twice since the revamp with my level 25 druid, so, if they are there, they are not terribly big. I've also made the run from one side to the other with my 65 shaman, didn't notice any difference there.

The servant mammal guys are still nonkos, EXCEPT for the rare named spawns, which are kos, so you should be safe to succor to WW unless the named is up.

Well, and as before the revamp, there is a kos wanderer that goes by every few minutes, but as mentioned, the zone line is about 5 feet away, so most people other than low level forage mules should be able to survive that easily unless you get disoriented or something.
