Getting Nightmare Mephit Blood

For the past month I've been monitoring the bazaar daily for Nightmare Mephit Blood but there have been none for sale. So it looks like I'll have to go farm for the blood myself or I'ld be stuck on the very first step in the Aid Grimel quest forever.

What is the minimal forces required to fight past the hobgoblins and how often does the blood drop off mephits in the caves? My guild seldom help people on individual quests so I'll need to plan how many favors I need to call in

If you are a necro you can solo this. You need 2 harmshields up + sow (obviously to get past hobgoblins). Run along the side of the walls so Hobgoblin pathing slows them down a bit. FD half way, stand, run to 1st Mephite and FD them off again. you're good to go. I got 8 bloods when I ran down there last time. Just kept killing all the mephites until agony mephites spawned in all the positions.

If you are not a necro you will need 1 very talented group to get past the hobgoblins. They always com in multiples so expect 2+ on any pull.

Bards! Here is your chance to make some easy money! You can make at least 15kp a week selling nightmare mephit blood products in the Bazaar for only a few hours a week farm time.

Selos, run threw caves, fade on the Nightmare/VtShade area, then charm one mephit and put it against another. DoT while the pet fights. When charm breaks snare the mob so your pet can take back agro. Don't swarm as the wizards are harsh if there are more then one (they lure for 700s).

I've farmed several hundred nightmare mephit bloods this way. In the beginning they were snapped up as fast as I could farm them but now days I keep five stacks on my bazaar mule at 200pp each. Other people try to sell the bloods for 2k each. If you are the only provider of nightmare mephit blood you can charge what you like.

With the nightmare mephit bloods I make and sell Night Terror Tempers and Curing Agents, Planer Blood Brews (easy to solo for the components as well) and Iron Amulet Of Unseen Horrors. The mephit meat is good for baking skill ups and the blue diamond/diamond/raw diamonds they drop are good cash. You could make Night Terror armors to sell as well (I don't do that as my tailoring and smithing skills are too low).

Solo exp is 2-3% a kill and it takes 90 seconds to kill one. Even the wizards are not a problem with practice. You will need Call of the Banshee and Fading Memories. I recomend having at least 9 mana regen from MC/FT. I usually stay full of mana with MC3 and FT8.
