  • 200+ Skills

I've been looking through the skillup datas for avg number of combines per skillup.

I also remember awhile ago where they made some tradeskills (2 if i remember correctly) more difficult. Was pottery one of them? uggg...

240 combines to go from skill 202 to 205. This is beginning to look like a very painful (my wrists) and expensive tradeskill to GM.

Was hoping to 250 this skill soon, it's only one of two skills not GM for me yet.

My personal experience with pottery is that it was very painful from about 180 to 210, then got much better. By very painful I mean if I got a skillup in 100 combines, I was a very happy camper.

After 210, I averaged a skill up every 20 combines.

before that one patch last year (may8 patch) (or was it this year? lol) they (soe) made most of the tradeskills if not all, difficult to increase in skill points.
when i started on FV server the first few months playing on it, i did all the tradeskills in 3 months and got to 170-188 (cept for jewlery). in my own opinion for pottery, i went from 0-188 fairly quick, was getting a point every 2-5 combines. took me almost 2 days to skill up to 188. from 0-122 took me 2 hours in halas. from there on i had to farm skins to make vials.
today or nowadays pottery and other skills takes a lot more attempts to raise skill points up. they made it easier to work on tradeskills and to abtain those trivial skill points, however now it takes a lot longer to raise those skill point.

Yes high level pottery is expensive. I think I averaged 1 skill up per 40 combines over 200. I have no data on this, so just my memory.

Yes, pottery and fletching were made more difficult a while back. I was able to get to GM on pottery before the change, I did fletching after. There was a noticeable difference between before and after.

Figures... I ended up GM all the other ones, and left the 'easy' ones for last... that being pottery and fletching.

Corse I got smithing and tailoring out of the way tho.
