  • Question - Curious

If its a total stranger to you, and not in a guild you may have a good relationship, how much do you charge for doing an upper end combine for people? Do you charge for failures as well, since it does take time out of your life to attempt? Since I sell pottery items in the bazaar to help fund my skill-ups, I hate to do combines for people and then have them (as a non-potterer) competing with the bazaar. Do you guys face this often?

I never charge for failures, yes it takes my time, but I've also lost the items that someone spent pp or time to get. I usually charge anywhere from 1/3 of market sell price and up. It depends a bit on how nice the person asking for someone to combine for them is being. But I like the 1/3 price since I get to keep about the same profit as I would otherwise (If you buy components in bazaar and average in failures it's about the same profit, if you're farming all your own components for sales it's a bit less, but no risk at all involved, not even losing a raw diamond, so I'm willing to take less profit), and the person I'm combining for gets a discount in general, especially if they camped for their items instead of buying them. If I charged for failures I'd lower my sucess price, since they're losing both pp and items either way.
