Ceramic Shield of Valor

hmm... after having gotten my pottery skill up to a nice skill i wanted to try and make one of these.

But,

The main site says it requires Valerous Glaze, but there is also a Crystalline Valor Glaze.

Is it really true that you need *2* Metallic Liquids to make this? 1 for the Yellow Gem of Valor and 1 for the glaze ?

Just wondering since this doesnt seem to go in line with the other recipes.

The recipe on the site is correct. It requires two metallic liquids.

It's also not that uncommon for PoP pottery items to consume two of the diamond component. The Sword of War and Shackles of Torment also use an "imbue" component in the glaze. Foolishness, if you ask me.

From my experience the fail rate on these is extreme.

3 from 9 so far at 250 plus 5%.

I am not attempting these anymore ...PERIOD.

9/12 on the shield... have actually found the success rates to be quite nice on these. (a welcome break from my dismal tailoring success rates I'll tell ya that much).

239 skill + GM trophy made 3/3 on the 3rd one i got my 240th skill level, at 240 i have made 4/4 shields, spend about 6-7k each on veeshan and sell em for 13-15k but where my success lies in shields i screw up horribly on other things, 1/3 rod of storms, 0/1 insence burner(NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! ) 1/2 gavel of justice 3/7 ceramic skulls.

I've yet to fail on any pop pottery combine (have made numerous valor shields and rod of storms). I know I'm lucky but the failure raid seems ok to me

hmmmm....

Well prior to the patch changing trivial fails, I was 5/5 sucesses

after patch am failing 50% of combines on this. Anyone else notice a change?

Haven't noticed any real changes before or after patch, as I've never failed one of these bad boys. All attempts were at 250+trophy.
