  • Maximum modified skill...

Hi. I was reading some stuff on allakhazam's board and i read something there i was hoping to get confirmed. This guy said two things:

    1) The +5% from geerlok and +5% from the trophy DO NOT stack.

    2) Even though at 250 skill +5% would give you 262 skill, the maximum modified skill you can acheive is 252.

I just wanted to know if these two things were true or not. I sat around for a while thinking about how you could even go about proving these. I don't know of anywhere you can look up your modified skill. and you don't get a trivial message if your base skill is less than triv but your modified skill is above trivial.

Sorry if that was confusing, but your help is appreciated

If you check the faq's and such you should see this info in there.

From testing with skill restricted combines skill mod items DO NOT STACK. Rogues have also found with backstab skill mods that they don't stack either.

You'll see some discussion on the board as to what exactly it is but yes there is definitely an effective cap. Most people say 252 altho some will say 255. My personal experience tells me that with 250 raw skill + 15% skill mod has no higher success rate on things like cultural armor or mistle sickles than 250 with no skill mod. One would expect the potential 287 modified skill to make a big difference if you could actually get that high.

Skill mods to do not stack. We got this confirmed by Absor.

As far as the skill cap, we've heard both 252 and 255 from Sony, however 252 is the most recent number they've stated and the one we tend to believe.
